Okay, so in the R season there's an entire mini arc called the Doom Tree Arc. The plot and new characters are completely exclusive to the 90s anime. Basically, the Sailor Moon manga needed time to outpace the anime a bit since the two were basically neck-and-neck and so Toei decided to create the Doom Tree Arc to help pad out the anime.

Like you’ve said, both Fengxian and the Madam in her prime were such ethereal beauties, they had to have proper nutrition and likely didn’t do exhausting physical labor (welllllll…) when they were growing up/in their teens.

This guy needs more fun headcanons, he's a Dad who goes killing on Halloween nights while his kid stays at home with all the candies, which is a whole mood in itself, you pull out all that nasty slasher things he did, he's just a normal single dad with a child and probably a dead wife trope haunting him too (It's pretty safe to assume his wife is dead judging by that booth photo strip in the cabinet door and no living wife in the ending)

Because here's the thing: the scene where the Other goes home to his daughter sleeping on the couch? If you look in the background, there's also one of those pack-n-play cribs, as well as other baby toys around the living room. So he not only has a 8-10yo daughter, he has a baby baby. Two kiddos. This man not only smashes but smashes well enough (and is parental enough) to get two separate babies.

And I also believe in the dead wife theory (which I think you could def argue that she's still alive -- who would have taken the kids trick r treating? he wouldn't have left a baby home alone all night. mom's probably just in the other room and he only spared Natalie bc he would never hurt his wife) which really sucks for him because it means her death was fairly recent. Maybe 18mo ago at most if she died from childbirth complications, or it even could have been two months ago. Long enough to help him create a "new normal" for the sake of the kids, but still fresh enough to hurt.

But the fact that he has multiple masks means he's done this several times at different haunted house attractions. We know that from the opening scene and in a director interview he mentioned how if he had the opportunity for sequels, it would be more of the Other's slayings. So this is likely a yearly tradition rather than him hitting up like 8 houses the whole month of October. Which doubly means that while he was likely still killing when his wife was alive, this is probably the first time he's done it as a widow, and seeing Natalie and her striking resemblance to the girl he has in the photo booth strip....

Y'know I first come in contact with it by seeing a recap of the anime first season, I thought the Shadow kids have parents, turns out I was really wrong

We all needed at least one pure kind character and IT'S OKAY, it's nice to have morally good characters in a fucked up story like Elden Ring

But oh when the creator has to state that Miquella is good, it's a problem?

I don't get how Messmer is "misunderstood" even. The guy burned his enemies and impaled a bunch of creatures, what part of that meant misunderstood? Is it like that thing with Ranni again?

Y'know where Ranni is a do-no-wrong rebellious princess who wants to go against the set fate God made for her? I doubt that, I just think she got a goal, an agenda and a style of operating that's all, not everyone is completely good in this tale, they're morally ambiguous at best tbh

That said, Miquella is the best good boy and I never doubted that, I guess it's fine to be sus of him cuz he's too good to be true, but I know he's a pretty nice guy, it's weird they think he's totally evil cuz he exudes too much niceness, like can't they just consider he's actually nice? Why does one have to be evil just so the other one looks good lol?

I expected nothing less, if I'm honest. Messmer went out of his way in this trailer to show he was burning, killing and wiping out a city, but he's "misunderstood".

Rykard is woobified. Godrick is woobified. They have both very clearly committed their share of sins and atrocities. Rykard has clearly tortured Albinaurics (I have seen some people say they're not real, so it doesn't matter), the minority race in this game, but he's just a "good family man".

But Miquella who abandons Fundamentalism for the sake of helping his sister is manipulative, using her, probably manipulating everyone and is secretly evil? Even though there are many races flocking to his tree for sanctuary?

Malenia is "selfish" and arrogant, despite relinquishing her status as a potential candidate to succeed Marika to be Miquella's blade and protector because she is devoted to him, the only one who stepped up to try and help her. But nah, she's annoying, unfair and selfish.

Whether or not a lot of you believe this, I could care less. The point remains is that we have characters who are openly doing terrible deeds, but they are suddenly MISUNDERSTOOD?!?!?! and "uwu babies who "love their families".
