she had to give up becoming a pediatric surgeon because her ex-husband told her he would divorce her if she chose 3 additional years as a fellow with unstable hours instead of being an attending with a more stable planning immediately. so she divorced him for giving her an ultimatum and took the attending job as a soon-to-be single mom.

now, many years later, her husband, who is currently a resident like she was, didn't even consider pursuing plastic surgery because he knows that while he's in training she has to hold more of the weight at home and he doesn't want her to have to do this for 3 additional years.

she saw how much he was beaming after getting the opportunity to be part of the Plastic Posse again and immediately asked why he wasn't doing a plastic specialty. because this is obvious to her. the next logic step in her mind.

He lets his gaze wander, and not subtly; flirting was something he'd always been good at—always enjoyed—and it turned out there wasn't all that much difference between flirting with women and flirting with guys. He smirks, tilting his head playfully. "The way you handled that baton…" Blue laughs, a light pink blush dusting across his cheeks as he meets Buck's gaze. His voice is low, his accent deliciously husky when he says, "maybe I could give you a, uh, private demonstration before you leave Nashville?"
