why would ben even come to the desert?? he knows dawn is the key and he knows he could turn into glory any minute. who cares that buffy called him?
Something about Dawn’s wish in The Gift (5x22) about Ben dying [“And I wish you’d fall on your head and drown in your own barf, so…I guess we’re both disappointed.”] being completely accidental. About abandoning a choice. About it only being a wish, because at the heart of this episode — this season, this show — it’s all about choices. Something about the face of Buffy’s innocence begging for a way to not choose.
If I was watching btvs back when it aired I would have been so wrong about Glory and Ben cause looking at it without knowing I’m like “oh he was one of the other demons Glory ruled that hell dimension with and now he’s trying to be a doctor.” Boy would I be wrong
