After reading The Last Vampire Slayer, I honestly was super pleased that they really went for Buffy seemingly crashing out, ceasing communication with her best friends, and then marrying Angel and keeping it secret, just for him to walk out on her AGAIN. She just could not deal with all the trauma and that's ok.

Like thank you for continuing to roll with Buffy's mega flaws. Also, bold move to include Angel in the miniseries but only as a bitter memory of Buffy's mistakes.

Buffy is her own worst enemy when it comes to her emotions and relationships and that's something I love about her

I'm glad this version of Buffy is now happily picking out pumpkins for Halloween with Spike in domestic contentment, and dealing with their dramatic adoptive daughter and the new Watcher's Council's missions. She seems to be doing alright.

(man her panicked reaction in the scene with Spike getting staked but it just barely missing his heart was heartbreaking. Caught me off guard.)

#i need to get like super wasted one day and write that catastrophic b/angel wedding that I'm thinking about for over a year #probably gonna get me burned on a stake by chapter three but it would be like a therapy for both buffy and me #spuffy #the last vampire slayer #buffy summers

I ship Spangel in the sense that I’m not actively consuming content about them and they don’t take up any space in my brain but it’s just like a fact of life that they’ve been a thing. Even not seeing ats s5 I can tell you those two fucked and I would be engaging in historical revisionism to think anything to the contrary
