what’s so interesting about that is that on the surface, it looks like porn. something that’s just sex. but it’s not even about sex, and to eddie it comforts him by just existing next to his bed, something he reads over and over. this is what spuffy is. buffys trying to ignore past the cover page, she’s trying to claim that their relationship is just what it appears to be. a sexual relationship. but it’s not. it’s her security blanket. it’s spike’s too.

buffy is bi but she won't figure this out until she's like ~35 and she has a whole crisis because she feels like she missed out on when she was *supposed* to be figuring out her sexuality because of the everything in her life from ages 15-22.

willow finds out sometime in like the 2000s that bisexuality is a thing and she can be more than just 'gay now' but still mostly dates women cos thats just kind of her scene. i wanna nod to the fact that oz just looked like every tboy and butch lesbian but i cant work it in smoothly here.

xander is bi but he's really gonna have to work on himself in other ways before he's ready to face that one

giles is bisexual but he does think that being into men was something he did when he was young and rebellious and crazy and that he's over it as a respected member of society. when willow first mentions bisexuality he kind of quietly goes on a journey of self discovery and acceptance. none of the scoobies find out until they see him kissing another guy at a gay bar and they have to do a whole thing where theyre grossed about being aware of giles' love live but theyre trying so hard not to be homophobic

angel** is bisexual & he also thinks that being gay was something he did when he was evil because being gay is evil and a sin. no obviously he doesnt think that willow or any of his gay friends are sinning but *he* needs to repress his sinful urges. a good 20% of this is that the man he most frequently had sex with when evil was spike and he just can't admit to being attracted to spike

spike is bisexual and like angel died right before sexuality became pathologized as a thing you were instead of a thing you chose to do or not and also thinks he only falls in love with/has sex with men because he's evil but unlike angel he has zero problem with this. he only wants to have evil sex anyway

tara i would say is definitely a lesbian. i dont have anything else to say on this

anya is bisexual and just cannot believe that anyone else isn't. why would you limit yourself?

faith thinks she's bisexual because she also thinks she's a Slut who doesnt care about men and that's the only reason why she doesn't form emotional attachments to them like she does with women or ever find them hot like she finds women hot it's because she's Bad not because she's gay

dawn's a lesbian i can just feel it i don't have more to say than i know a baby dyke when i see one

cordelia is a lesbian who thinks that all straight women (which obviously she is) don't really care for men and find women far more beautiful and would probably like dating women more instead but, well, sad! she can't!

*my credentials in saying this are that im currently getting a bachelor's in sociology & doing my bachelors thesis on understandings of sexuality & identity categories
