"We could be a bit more than three peas in a pod...if you wanted to..." Sam trailed off, suddenly timid and unwilling to look them in their eyes. Waves of embarrassment crept in, and a faint blush had spread across his face as he fiddled with his fingers.

Cliffjumper looks at Bumblebee, before turning to Sam, raising his optical ridge. "I thought this is what you wanted though-"

Bumblebee snickers and whispers something to the red mech, wings fluttering in excitement behind him.

Cliffjumper is still for all of two seconds, processor working at light speed.

Notes: This fic is a new lesson in “It’s never too late!” I started this 83,000 word monster in 2007, and it’s been making me feel guilty for leaving it incomplete for over 1/3 of my life. There are people in my current fandoms who weren’t even alive when I started posting this.

It has been revised, expanded, and (finally!) completed. To anyone who read it in the past, I hope the conclusion was worth the wait. To anyone who is just finding it for the first time, I hope you enjoy the throwback. <3
