Short extract from D-day 'The Allies Prepare' Celebration the BBC showed on 5th June, featuring a (just about) familiar face to us FW fans.
(PS If I hadn't known from the advertising that JO was doing this bit I certainly wouldn't have recognised him by ear -that is a very strong American accent, and he's pretty hard to see under that uniform.)
US followers, not sure if that is actually a particular accent or just a mishmash(?)
Last Night on BBC Election Coverage
The Facts :-
Tories picking up seats from areas that voted Leave.
Labour picking up seats from areas that voted Remain.
Labour losing votes to the Tories & to The Brexit Party (LITERALLY a party named after Brexit)
Every piece of evidence suggesting that almost every seat was decided on Brexit.
The BBC Coverage :-
It’s because Jeremy Corbyn is a Jew hating Communist, isn’t it?
Glastonbury
I've spent most the weekend watching Glasto.
What I love about the coverage is that I end up watching acts I'd not usually bother with and end up being really impressed. Miley Cyrus for instance just put on a hell of a show. Her drummer was Stacy Jones from American Hi-Fi (bloody loved that band) and Letters to Cleo fame!
Big shout outs to Billie Eilish, Kylie, Wu-Tang and The Killers. The latter of which not only brought on The Pet Shop Boys but covered This Charming Man by The Smith's and only went and got Johnny Marr on stage with them.
Bring on tonight's headliners and one of my very favourites... The Cure.
@bloodboundismylife IT’S 2023!!!!
The tributes to the Queen, Ukraine and the Lionesses were lovely!
Still so proud! 🥲🥳🎉

BBC coverage of Cliff Richard raid was over the top, says Tony Hall
The director general of the BBC has told MPs the broadcaster’s coverage of a police raid on the home of Sir Cliff Richard was over the top and had so far cost it more than £1.5m in costs and damages. Tony Hall told the digital, culture, media and sport committee, the total cost of Richard’s high court privacy victory over the BBC was not yet known, but most of it would be covered by an insurance…
