He has also used his personal custody and guardianship over Edward Fitzroy to keep the overwhelming political power, military might, and financial prosperity of The Kingdom of Aquitaine in check to prevent the religiously conservative Kings of Aquitaine from forging a religious and military alliance with Alexius VI of The Empire of Mankind and his "Conservative League" against the reformed princes of The Empire of Mankind Proper, despite The Imperial Household of The Empire of Mankind already being heavily embroiled in a heated border dispute with House Williamson of The Kingdom of Aquitaine over the suzerainty of the princes and states of the "Southern" or otherwise "Frivolous" hemisphere of The Empire of Mankind Proper.
