it is what it sounds like: a beauty & the beast retelling except instead of a beast, harry is a ghost 😭 this stems from my love of ghost harry fics (such a random trope that has sparked three of my favorite fics!!) basically louis and perrie move into this old house that perrie inherited from her great aunt(?) for a reason neither of them know, and then a lot of strange stuff keeps happening… <3

this one is about 5k in but it’s fully planned and i hope to return to it one day!!

They stare at each other for a moment. When it becomes clear that neither of them actually wants to say it, Louis blurts it out, “This place is fucking haunted.”

As if he said something offensive, Perrie cringes. “Not so loud,” she rebukes.

Louis gapes at her. “What?”

“What if it’s listening?” Perrie hisses, as if that explains everything.

“I think a haunted house would definitely be aware of its own hauntedness,” Louis shoots back, fingers curling into the inner lining of his pockets.

“But maybe it’s still rude to point out,” Perrie counters.

“Are you serious?” Louis whisper-shouts. He can’t believe he’s discussing the feelings of a house as if it’s a literal sentient being at nine o’clock in the morning but here he is. “You know what’s rude? Scaring the shit out of perfectly nice people for no reason!”
