3. Blatant Lies & Gaslighting: They twist reality to make you doubt your own memory, forcing you into a defensive position.  

4. Triangulation: They involve a third party to create jealousy, rivalry, or insecurity, baiting you into competition.  

5. Guilt-Tripping & Martyrdom: They play the victim, making you feel responsible for their emotions or actions.  

6. Sudden Withdrawal: They withhold affection, attention, or communication, baiting you into chasing them.  

Why Narcissists Bait You?

- To provoke a reaction they can use against you.  

- To shift blame and avoid accountability.  

- To reinforce their power and control.  

- To feed off your emotional turmoil as narcissistic supply.  

How to Disarm Narcissistic Baiting:

-Don’t take the bait: Recognize when they’re provoking you and disengage.  

- Respond, don’t react: Stay calm, composed, and emotionally neutral.  

- Set firm boundaries.m: Refuse to play their game and walk away when necessary.
