Am I the only one thinking that yumes who tell to other yumes they should buy a bunch of official merch to prove they really love their f/o are actually really toxic ? Like not everyone have enough money, especially when lots of yumes are underage so they only have pocket money.
For me, it’s just capitalism and consumerism disguised into love and a bunch of brainwashed people following it and telling people what to do. That’s sick…
(This kind of behavior is pretty common on asian social medias but less common in mixed or western ones btw)
I made the foolish mistake and joined the Heated Rivalry fandom.
I know better. I know I know better. And yet here I am six months later hating 90% of what makes a fandom a fandom.
It's my own fault. I knew what fandoms are like and how they all start off with nonstop happy times before the racists get loud. The stans start attacking everyone including the actors.
The energy right now is off because even though the Hudson Williams drama has died down fans are nervous that the haters were right and his career is being affected by it.
He's had so much support from all corners but still you never know. If there's anything the industry likes to do it's build an actor of color up just to tear them down for their own amusement.
Massive fan of Joe and his music and acting but holy fuck, people are downright obsessed??? Like parasocial??? And borderline stalking??? I’m scared lowkey
I think we can all agree that Joe is amazing. He's handsome, humble and talented. A lethal combination.
I believe most of the obsession and parasocial behavior is due to the fact that he used to be so accessible. Which, I suppose he still is to an extent but not so much since his fame has gained so much momentum over the last couple of years.
As I have said and will continue to say, people should log off and touch grass from time to time. It's not that deep.

People who use their diagnosis as a justification for hurting others really suck.
...let's also add their insistence that Joe has an Asian fetish... 😬 but seriously, is this person actually mentally ill and need help? someone must have talked to them within the fandom. or are they joe's version of the club chalamet lady and the rest of us need to wait for her to move on to some new man and his fans one day?
At this point, I truly hope they get help. It's not a healthy state of mind to be this obsessed with someone else's love life. And most days I feel like they're just doing it to troll all of us.
On the ballet dancer werido, i'm pretty sure they're the same person that goes around spamming all blogs any time anything comes around. they always have this vaugely fatphobic add ons to what they say (he likes them skinny ect). some bored weirdo thats just trying to upset people via toxic skinny talk, get a hobby bro lol
Oh there's no doubt it's the same person.
