I just recently found out about Kyoshi's backstory. She was a true underdog. No one wanted her. She was actually a servant to the person who everyone thought was the Avatar. I did't truly fall in love with her until I read the Rise of Kyoshi. At the beginning I thought she was this weak girl. It wasn't until I got to the part where she was making mountains from the bottom of the ocean. That was truly bad ass. After that anything she did was perfect to me.

I know she isn't everyones favorite, but when I was going through some hard times in my life she was there going though the same thing. She is also super powerful and her comics are pretty cool.

How can you not like Ang. He's the father of the atla franchise. I watched this boy grow into a man.

I dont know that much and Avatar Yangchen, but I know she was a great Avatar. She always tried to find the peaceful solution. Only going into the Avatar state a handful of times. People where still praising her up until Ang became the Avatar. That says something about her ability.

Avatar Roku was a family man. I liked how fair he was to the people he was serving as the Avatar. He didn't back down to injustice, even when his bestfriend got mad at him. That's what ended up killing him in the end.
