With halp from @arctimon, I’ve uncovered a hidden detail that’s been an underlying theme for Hiro since the beginning of the original comics and into the series. Hiro has had an recurring villain (or perhaps even villains) that doesn’t get talked about enough...
Doors
That’s right. Hear me out here, I know it’s a weird thing to get hung up on. We go through doors every day and most of the time they don’t have malicious intent.
But Hiro has had trouble with doors since the 1998 Marvel comics run of Big Hero 6. Especially when he has a crush, they mean to sabotage his reputation and his cheeks.
And even when Hiro tries to abide by these oppressive and insidious supervillains by not ramming face first into them, they still don’t seem to make peace with him.
Just when it looks like Hiro learns his lesson around them, having to stop before they open, they go and get him kidnapped. They don’t open for him on time.
Now here’s where my theories get really far out, but I think I know why these doors at SFIT have their quarrels with this boy genius...
That’s right. This is a revenge plot by SFIT’s doors after Hiro mercilessly yanked and yeeted a door from its hinges.
So we might know why, but now we must ask who are these doors? Are they part of a secret syndicate of villainous doors known as the Doorkeepers, headed by a shadowy figure named Dora?
Could Fred even be involved with them? After all, Hiro threw that door at him and then rammed into him again that same day.
I’m just saying, there’s more going on here and I want answers... Or I’m just trying to entertain myself like a...
