Amalthea exists in both Roman and Greek myth as a foster mother for Zeus or Jupiter, the kings of the gods, during the time in which each of their fathers tried to eat them. In the Roman myth, she is the goat that feeds Jupiter, while in Greek myth she is the nymph who fed Zeus goat's milk. In the Roman version, Jupiter later breaks off the goat's horn accidentally and, not wanting to throw a piece of her away, gives it to Abundantia. While in the Greek version, a goat breaks off one of its horns and Amalthea fills the horn with flowers and fruits and gifts it to Zeus. Zeus then places both the goat and its horn in the heavens amongst the stars. IN MY OPINION Amalthea in your chart represents a) where you show your nurturing and protective nature the most, b) where you have endless riches, c) where you possess the gift of giving, d) where you waste nothing (lots of people with jupiter positive aspects to amalthea i know hate to see things go to waste so they repurpose a lot of what they have), and/or e) the respect you have for animals around you (lots of people with venus aspects to amalthea i noticed have tried to go vegetarian or vegan for the sake of the animal at some point in life).

i encourage you to look into the aspects of amalthea along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of amalthea AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede amalthea!
