God, toxic BrambleAsh is I think one of my favorite ships because... So many options of what to do with it, and all of them are not good
Bramble being volatile, short tempered, and generally petty combined with Ashfur being possessive and actually deranged just... It's fun

What if it is Ashfur slowly carving at Brambleclaw, increasingly ensnaring him in this relationship by toying with him and making him as miserable as possible with the end goal of having Bramble be his pet. Blackmail, manipulation, the whole nine yards
But Bramble is still Bramble, aka 2 times larger and with a very short temper.
So it's sort of like taming a cornered, wounded animal, where Ashfur is increasingly trying to wrap Bramble around his finger but if he screwes up he very well could end up getting his throat ripped out.
Sort of a back and forth power dynamic between the two with Ashfur prodding to check what he can get away while stripping Bramble of power and happiness, and Bramble isn't being cooperative in the slightest.
Anyway, this has all been just a very contrived way to make Ash the top in the relationship.
