It needs to be repeated that the reason it feels like TRFs on this site like cis men more than trans men is because they DO like cis men more than trans men. Because they view gender as a choice, and because they're incredibly self-centered, they view trans men as betrayers to femininity itself in ways cis men will never be. In fact, cis men have potential to them in ways trans men don't.
They love trans women for obvious reasons, cis women are still allied in femininity (and TRFs view being femme as more important and more at the root of oppression than the being trans part, so your trans identity is at best inconsequential and again, at worst, a reason to hate you.)
Cis men are, to them, potential trans women. That's why they're so persistent with "egg cracking" jokes and forcefem, which they insist isn't a kink. And if it's not a kink, that means they genuinely think the best thing a cis man can be is a closeted trans woman- so for this reason, cis men get shown the benefit of the doubt, because there's a 1-3% chance they could actually be a woman who hasn't realized it yet. That potential makes them fond of cis men and willing to tolerate literally any amount of misogyny from them, because for all we know that could just be an egg's internalized misogyny as they work through their identity. Cis men are potential allies, perfect targets for projection of their past self.
But trans men. Trans men had the nerve to be assigned femininity by society and then had the NERVE to reject it. To CHOOSE to be men. There is no potential for them to be women (unless they detransition, which is a stated goal of a lot of TRF forcefem fans, but they are fully aware that few if any will). Not only are they enjoying masculinity without considering how some TRF they never even met might feel dysphoric about seeing a man feeling gender euphoria over masculinity, but they're REJECTING femininity. They aren't potential eggs. Worse still, they're insinuating that transness and femininity can be decoupled! That you can be trans without being feminine! To them, that's appropriation. That's why they insist trans men are appropriating from the trans community just by being here. T4T isn't for transmascs because they're MASC. Trans men can't reclaim the T slur because they're MASC.
That's why you never see them call cis men or cis women TME. It's why you never see them spew the sheer vitriol at cis men or cis women as at trans men. It's why you never see them make up slurs for cis people like they do for trans men. It's why they call trans men cunts without ever doing so for cis people. It's why they invent concepts that simply do not exist, like "AFAB privilege" to describe what is in fact nothing more than jealousy and disappointment towards trans men. Trans men are neither women nor "potential women." And they just can't abide that.
It's not you. You're not reading too much into it when you notice how much more they hate trans men than cis people. That's just their entire worldview. In TRFs' eyes, all you'll ever be is a traitor to womanhood. You won't even let them do you a favor and make forcefem comments on your posts- what kind of trans person are you if you don't lean in to femininity? How could you like vanilla ice cream when THEY were forced to eat vanilla for 20 years while longing for chocolate? Only an asshole would choose vanilla ice cream, a prison, over chocolate ice cream. Vanilla is the ice cream flavor of genocide.
Reading comprehension check before you leave an angry comment on this post: did you replace the phrase "TRF" with "trans women" in your mind, and are about to get angry at me for "generalizing trans women" as a result when no such thing happened?
