God, toxic BrambleAsh is I think one of my favorite ships because... So many options of what to do with it, and all of them are not good
Bramble being volatile, short tempered, and generally petty combined with Ashfur being possessive and actually deranged just... It's fun
I am imagining au where Bramble is dating Ashfur after Squirrelflight break up with him, to go "Maybe YOU are the problem."
Meanwhile Squirrel is going: "No Bramble, you don't understand, he is ACTUALLY dangerous, don- you know what, let's see how it goes for you."
Oh absolutely, they are just so fun cause they are a very specific flavour of toxic.
Both of them crave to be the one in control of the relationship so it is a constant push and up of manipulation and the thrill of having power over the other.
I think Bramble in that au would be pretty self-aware that the relationship is wack but his too stubborn to admit Squirrelflight was right and is just sticking through it, maybe in hopes to "break" Ashfur down enough for him to calm down and be more submissive but this is Ash we are talking about and this man is insane, probably seeing Brambles distant controlling attitude as playing hard to get or something equally twist lol
