Do you think H and L make anonymous donations or maybe run a private charity organization anonymously? I thought it was interesting, for example, that the kids who walked out with the players onto the field yesterday all had the number 28 on their jerseys.
Hi honey!
I am sure that both Harry and Louis are involved in a whole load of charities that we have no idea about, and that they donate to different organizations or people in need more than we realize.
I remember when years ago, shortly after the hiatus began, we learned about how much Louis and his mother Jay did for a family whose child had a terribly aggressive cancer. This mother took to Twitter to defend Louis who was being hounded by the press, pushing on him a public image that is absolutely untrue. Jay herself stepped in to defend her son from false accusations, unjustified and relentless attacks and all the negative things you can imagine from the media. She revealed that her son does a number of good deeds that he tries to keep secret. She even tweeted to a fan saying: “One day I may just write all the things that Louis is about & that he does with no intention of getting any acknowledgment for! X He helps lots of people & asks that they don’t say anything. He does it for them. NOT for the story! X"
So I have literally no reason to doubt that they continue to donate anonymously. It’s a different story if you ask me if they run a private charity organization. I just don’t find that feasible. Personally, I think it’s really hard to keep something like that unknown. But I could be wrong, of course. Who knows really.
But one thing I can tell you for sure is that the kids having the number 28 on their jerseys yesterday has nothing to do with Louis.
If you look closely, you can see above the number the word "Article" and below the wording "You matter". This is in fact a direct reference to Article 28 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), which is based on an analysis of what children need in order to thrive.
Specifically, Article 28 of the CRC states:
Every child has the right to an education. Primary education must be free and different forms of secondary education must be available to every child. Discipline in schools must respect children’s dignity and their rights. Richer countries must help poorer countries achieve this.
Basically, it's about the right to education. And you can find more detailed information here. That's why these kids had the number 28 on their jerseys yesterday before the Soccer Aid for UNICEF charity event.
