I mean there is my entire blog of 15 or so hymns I have composed for Mars but for stuff that is not straight dedicated for Mars I would say I think In Flanders Field

Prayer beads I made for Ares. Red beads for him being god of war and civil order, yellow beads for strength and courage, wood beads to separate the two with the sword and shield charms to symbolize him and he being god of war.

Physically destroy reminders of harmful things

Go to protests, fight for what you believe in

Go on the massive rides at fairs/amusement parks

Mars Pater- Mars the Father (my favourite one)

Mars Ultor- Mars the Avenger

Mars Silvanus- De Agricula, Cato

Mars Augustus

Mars Gradivus- Marching God

Mars Quirinus- Protector of the Citizens

I normally go to Mars Pater in my offerings and prayers, especially with my relationship with Mars is very paternal so that epithet feels the closest to me

Day 29 - Any interesting or unusual UPG to share?

I would once again direct to my post on being headblind. I’m headblind so UPG is very rare. I think the one UPG I’ve ever gotten is I have felt like I’m being embraced by something when I veil sometimes. But beyond that no UPG and especially not about Mars.

Day 21 - Music that makes you think of this deity

Welp, this is going to be a short one. I would say this one probably reminds me the most of Mars

It is mostly impacted by my personal view of Mars as especially one who protects and bolsters me in my fight with mental illness but yeah this reminds me of Mars, I would say.

30 Days of Deity Devotion- Mars Day 16

This really keeps slipping my mind. This is the second time I forgot to post daily

Day 16 - How do you think this deity represents the values of their pantheon and cultural origins?

I mean to me I guess in some ways Mars is Rome. Although people see Mars as this like bloodthirsty God n’at (which I’ve more than talked about through this 30 day challenge that is not quite the case), that he represents a belligerent aspect of Rome but not in the same way as “bloodthirsty”.

For me, Mars is the defender at the Gate, not the bloodthirsty animal. He is the stark defender, prepared to defend and fight at any time. Rather than seeking violence for violence’s sake, he seeks for the protection of all those who he wishes to protect. Which in this way, is a very poignant that Mars reflects Rome. It is not a surprise that Rome was a nation often rife with war but it is also one that was trying to protect itself. In Rome religion reflected in every aspect of the daily life and this was no different in War.

30 Days of Deity Devotion- Mars Day 19

Day 19 - What quality or qualities of this god do you most admire? What quality or qualities of them do you find the most troubling?

I both do and don’t want to answer this question. I’ll do both >~<

So I’m def not masculine or wanting to be masculine some of the traits of healthy masculinity that Mars shows are definitely things that I admire and wish others would emulate. The supportive, protective Mars that I see who protects me in my many struggles with mental health is a person I admire and would like to see others strive after.

But on the other hand- So for me partly it may be that I am headblind and don’t have much in the way of UPG n’at, but I def see the Gods as ineffable. You can def describe the Gods and experience the Gods, but to know all what are the Gods is something I think our minds probably couldn’t handle. Both philosophically and just in the fact that we have lost so much information over the years about the Gods so there’s also that. I think for someone to even wrap their heads around everything about a single God is a herculean task
