SAGAU: Home is hurt
Living amongst the Aranara was⊠peacefulâwonderful even.
It was refreshing from your past life, back when you were stuck within those walls of the hospital each episode of your illness would come.
You were able to process everything now. Your emotions. Your situation. Just everything actually.
Youâve been observing and analysing how the Aranara behaved and talked towards you. Youâve known that they call you âMama-naraâ and that you have this connection towards them. It was like something so familiar and maternal. You couldnât really understand, but you were starting to just go with the flow for now.
At one point, you wanted to go outside the Aranara village. You wanted to know which timeline you were in the game. But when you asked them to let you explore they always dragged youâas best as they could with their tiny selfâaway from the border.
You always told them that you only wish to check for a good minuteâsome of them could even come with you! But they always cry and clinged to you. âMama-nara, donât leave!â âMama-nara, stay! Stay!â âMama, mama!â
You couldnât handle their cries for you to stay YvY
So you stayed. But you knew that it couldnât stay like that forever. You knew you needed to check outside the village. Each day, it didnât feel like just checking the outside anymore, rather, it felt like⊠there was a calling.
It was like something was calling you to goâto go beyond the little village. And the little ones couldnât help but feel anxious each day.
The Servant Who Bled Gold - Part 10
Summary: Y/N wakes in Teyvat, only to be branded an imposter by those they once worshiped. Forced to serve the false god who stole their identity, they endure in silence â until one small mistake reveals a divine truth no one was ready to see.
Part 9 (previous) Part 11 (next)
You dropped to the ground like dew sliding off a petal, stumbling forward and promptly tripping over something round, soft, and squeaking.
âOofâ!â âEekâ!â
You toppled sideways, arms flailing as you landed on a bed of moss. Three tiny Aranara rolled in different directions like startled berries before springing upright, leaves puffed out defensively.
One pointed at you dramatically. âBig Nara falls from sky!â
Another gasped, tiny hands on its cheeks. âNo! Nara fell on us! Very heavy!â
You sat up, mortified. âIâIâm so sorry, I didnât seeââ
The smallest of the trio waddled closer, nose twitching. ââŠWarm-light Nara is clumsy,â it declared confidently.
You groaned. âPlease donât call me that.â
Heads peeked out from roots, hollows, and small houses. Dozens of Aranara, then more. They formed a living ring of moss-green curiosity around you.
You froze.
This wasnât a dream. This was their home⊠and you were standing in the middle of it.
A slightly taller Aranara approached.
âWarm Nara,â it greeted brightly. âI am Arasaka. You are⊠very big.â
âNara is squishy!â one chimed from your left.
You blinked. ââŠSquishy?â
The boldest one poked your thigh.
âSquish,â it confirmed solemnly.
You covered your face with your hands. This was too much.
Another Aranara approached you. âI am Arachatora. Welcome! You can stay with us!â
You whispered, âCan⊠I really stay?â
All the Aranara nodded vigorously, bouncing up and down around you.
âYes-yes-yes!â âNara stay!â âNara very safe!â âWe make good soup!â
You laughed.
And so, surrounded by tiny guardians of dreams, you agreed. âThen Iâll stay.â
A cheer erupted around you. Dozens of little hands reached out, tugging gently at your sleeves, your cloak, your fingers.
âCome! Come!â âWe show Nara house!â ââŠMaybe small for big Nara, but we try!â
You laughed, helpless against their enthusiasm. âAlright, alrightâlead the way.â
You would stay in Vanarana. At least⊠for now.
