About an hour later, (after no response from her) I click back to the assignment and noticed that not only did she change the video link, she changed the ENTIRE ASSIGNMENT. 

There was no heads-up on this. It also occurred just before 3:00 p.m., which is around the time most of us stop school work for the day and/or come back to it a little bit later if there is anything left that will be due at midnight. Meaning that most of the other students in my class have already finished the original assignment and we will all lose credit for it.

Here’s how most teachers normally (and should) handle the situation when they make an honest mistake and a student brings it to their attention.

1. Email the student back with a thank you and a personal apology about the mistake.

2. Create an announcement or send a mass email to the entire class giving them the new link (or correcting the mistake in whatever way it needs to be corrected). 

3. In some cases, teachers postpone the entire assignment to the next day because it may be too late to 100% fix it.

Here’s what my teacher did to handle the situation:

1. No contact back to me about how she screwed up.

2. No announcement, mass email, or any other form of communication to draw attention to the error or the change in assignment.

3. Sneakily changed the assignment after many people had already completed it and setting us all up for failure

I WILL NOT let her get by with this, so I (politely) sent her another email explaining that I was almost done with the original assignment and since she changed it with no warning, I am hoping to still receive full credit for the work that I did.
