I have my very first indoor field study: Moss!!!
I was looking up a cheap moss grow kit, and the universe gave me a piece of moss while I was picking up some litter off the road! Then I found two more pieces the next day! I’ve got both of them in jars and am now studying how the dehumidifier affects their hydration. I have one of the jars with the lid slightly ajar (ha), and the other, the lid is fully closed. Let’s see what happens!

This is an acoustic televiewer down-hole geophysical survey. We use this to find the aperture and inclination of fractures in the rock.
It’s very useful when you’re trying to design a pit slope. The dark brown lines in the yellow column to the right are the fractures in the borehole wall.
