Hello! This is @louisehagger on @f22aop #igtakeover #AOPtakeover for the next few days 💥💥 I’m a London-based photographer whose work with innovative creatives in the food and drink industry from New York to Tokyo, has been published by brands and editorials around the world. One of my favourite jobs is the work I do for @guardian which is published every Saturday. I’ve been shooting for them for about 5 years @guardianweekend and now @guardianfeast, where I get to photograph (and eat!!) the incredible recipes by @ottolenghi @meerasodha with my mega team @emilykydd @jenkayprops @katygilhooly #shootbuds I discovered food photography as a career when I was assisting, where I also first met @emilykydd @jenkayprops, so it’s a real joy to shoot with them regularly now doing a job we love! 💛 It’s also a similar time when I joined @assocphoto who have been a fantastic support, before having and in addition to having a commercial agent. @nickdunmur especially has given me invaluable advice and is always happy to answer any questions I have with the business and legal side of photography. Thank you! I’m proud to be a member of the @assocphoto and especially part of @f22aop to champion women photographers. The freakish chihuahua barked incessantly.” • A Carp in the Tub • Hello! @louisehagger here on the last day of my #AOPtakeover, sharing some of my favourite work. #Igtakeover 💥💥 This is a personal collaboration that I shot in Brooklyn with the absolutely incredible @victoriagranof @bossgonecrazy 🖤 …. “If you want to take a bath, do it today; I’m bringing the carp tomorrow and it lives in the tub till Easter,” said Natalia helpfully. WAIT. Easter is three months away.” … A Carp in the Tub is an artist collaboration by Food Stylist Victoria Granof, Photographer Louise Hagger and Prop Stylist JoJo Li. In words, pictures and recipes, it tells the weird and wonderful story of Granof's winter-long journey to adopt her infant son in Ukraine. The work is presented as a set: a folded poster and a booklet. Inside the booklet are a suite of seven photographs with corresponding recipes, and a not funny-but funny essay written by Granof. The poster unfolds into an A3 size to reveal the carp in the tub. … Retouching by @darkroomdigital_uk Design by @owen__evans 🙌🏼 . . . Graceland • A personal collaboration with the incredibly talented @alexanderbreeze (concept, art direction, styling & text) & food stylist extraordinaire @emilykydd 📸 by me @louisehagger 💥💥 In celebration of Elvis’ love of food and kitsch excess, and his legendary romance with Priscilla, we’ve created a series of pictures based on his favourite sandwich; American classic Key Lime Pie; that giant wedding cake; and how we fantasised their wedding buffet might have looked – and been eaten into – using Sixties gastronomy as a starting point. All shown in settings directly inspired by Graceland.
