for a moment today you were genuine I thought I saw something within appreciation for who i am that you actually give a damn but it only takes two seconds you change directions, change your mind I pretend to be blind but your eyes met mine and I knew you were lying making up excuses why you can’t be around me, but I know the truth it burns and it bruises you never know what you want haunting me with false promises taunting me with convenient friendship time doesn’t heal I just stop to feel anything at all because it’s easier to be numb inside than to pretend to be alright
