Chamber of Chills #4 for Shocktober 8th
It could also be ant smells. (Ants leave sent trails so even if all the crumbs are gone, they might still be following the trail. I hear lemon juice or vinegar can dissolve those sent trails, but i imagine liquids by computers are also really bad. But it COULD possibly help if you know where the ants are coming from, to try and keep them from getting in the house)
Ill burn the house down that's easier
Lemon juice hmm, i wonder if damp cloth would be safe enough. But i think I'll try to look for the source of the ants. Ty for the tip 👍
So we're suffering from ants and flying ants for a while but because of the cats we cannot use antspray.
Intense smells like lavender are known to help against ants. Lavender doesn't harm cats or dogs but is very harmful to bunnys, which is why I would recommend carefull use.
Lavender also has many magickal properties like
joy
love
calming
protection
purification and cleansing
sleep and dreams
spiritual connection
luck
piece
beauty
happyness
memory and mood boost
I'm going do put some lavender and moonwater in a spraybottle. Trying to get rid of ants this way gives me a chance to put some intention in it and do spellwork this way.
I'll keep you updated

I apologize for the lack of art this month, but on top of having some personal family things come up, I have been battling ants that have found their way into my home. I live in a building complex and I did hear of some units having ant problems. I have been keeping my home pretty clean and very diligent in not leaving food in the open (unless it's something I am drinking/eating at the moment) so I was surprised when I saw them appear.
I have already alerted my building manager and I sadly have to wait for them to do something about it. Meanwhile I've found that vinegar. lemon juice and soap mixture works very well in killing/warding them off at least temporarily and using bait. Their presence seems to have decreased.
I tried using spices like cinnamon, star anise, peppermint, etc. but they just walk around it and don't seem too bothered by it. Oooofff. I am trying not to use any chemicals since I have a furbaby and don't want her to accidentally ingesting anything harmful.
I will also start packing everyone's sticker sheets to send once I get the other few people's requests in to send off. Thank you all for you patience and love!
So we found an ant colony set up in the substrate in our vivarium. We had to break out the shop vac and give everything a thorough wipe down.
We had a bit of a panic when we found it cos ants have been known to band together and attack much larger animals.
Does anyone happen to know what we can put in the tank that won’t harm the snakes but will ward off the ants?
Anybody know any ways to get rid of ants aside from calling pest control? Our problem is out of control. They got into our fridge. They're all over our kitchen counter (that has been sprayed and cleaned with vinegar, water, and peppermint oil) nothing is working.
