Why is the criticism he gets called racism  compared to the rest of the cast?

What do they say that’s different or makes them seem racist, again genuine question :)

hi anon! first off i want to say that this is all just my perspective, other poc in the fandom are allowed to have different ones. i'm not speaking for anyone but myself here.

to answer your second question, i think that it's fair to say that the characters most consistently criticized on this show are owen, tk, and carlos. that's not to say that the other characters aren't criticized, but i rarely, if ever, see criticisms of them on here. this is likely because tk and carlos are the most popular characters on the show, and people have.... a lot of feelings about rob lowe and owen. with that in mind, i don't think it makes sense to compare the criticism carlos gets to the criticism that say.... paul, or tommy, or mateo, or any other character gets. they're just not on the same playing field.

as for carlos criticisms that i find racist, the anon that kickstarted all of this would be a good place to start because that's a good chunk of them. holding carlos "accountable" endlessly, no matter what happens on the show, never describing what that actually means. being upset tk has been kind to him when he's made mistakes.

that anon was in response to a post i made about remembering characters of color can have trauma the way white characters can, and they go on to say carlos's "only trauma" is his parents not talking about him coming out after he had. not only does it understate how traumatic that experience can be, it also leaves out him being drugged against his will twice, being held hostage by trudy and her son, him hearing his father be shot and killed in his parents' doorway, him learning that the chief of the rangers was the one who killed his father (and then being shot by him too), etc. there is so much that has happened to him over five seasons that constantly gets erased or discounted in how it would affect him mentally.

i think he would only jerk offf at a virology convention and only when they keep using Albert Wesker as asource in the slides they're presenting or speaking. (not really) i think he'd feel very good evry time someone looks at him and then looks away. he likes to be feared and revered.

i think he gets half mast when he works in the lab all day and incubates his samples prpoerly and gets to look at them under the electron microscope i think hes a little objectuma bout it.

but i don't think there is clubs that wesker would attend. maybe a really weird BDSM one but i hesitate to say that albert wesker even knows what BDSM really is in his life. i dobn't think he knows the traffic lights system or anything because outside of xreader where i am exaggeratnig or playing up aspects of his personality, i think he's not someone who engages frequently in that manner if atall. hes very much aw workaholic

but there's good opportunities to write him sparring and getting turned on by that. i do think he is a sadomasochist and not just a sadist. it's pretty well-known that waugh made a comment about him essentailly being a sadist (and fights being initmate) but the secret about sadists is that they're pretty much universsally also masochists, which then implies tat wesker is a sadomasochist.

Here’s something that never got finished: in which it’s Kiaan is happy because it’s Erwin’s turn to babysit, and despite winning the affections of your son and being a grown man, Erwin is still scared of Holden... a five year old girl  😌😌

“Kiaan!” Erwin greets with bright eyes, right hand under the boy’s legs to support him at his side. Kiaan is eager to wrap his arms around Erwin’s neck, and leans his head on his uncle’s shoulder with another happy proclamation.

Levi does his best not to let his eye twitch. 

Erwin greets you and Levi after, still bouncing Kiaan in his arms. It’s evident your son doesn’t have any plans to leave his current position any time soon. “Where’s everybody else?” Erwin questions, noticing the lack of other, smaller bodies roaming around your house.

Levi stands to cross the room, coming to Erwin’s right side, and reaching around to properly zip up his son’s backpack, “Napping.”

Disbelief is quick to spread across Erwin’s face, “Holden is napping?”

“No, I think she’s just reading, the baby is sleeping,” you tell him, “She was a little upset that Hange couldn’t come visit today.”

Erwin sighs. He wanted to ask if Holden would like to tag along with him and Kiaan on their shopping trip after Hange was unexpectedly called into work, but you had warned him before coming over that the toddler was still somewhat hesitant to be around him. While he tried not to let it show, Erwin was embarrassed to have to sit with the rejection of a five year old, particularly because he had no idea how to change Holden’s mind. He didn’t have all-day passes to the cool, interactive science museum like Hange did, but he had a Macy’s black card and a carefully curated kid friendly Spotify playlist—he could be just as cool as Hange. 

At least, he thought so. Thinking about Holden’s distaste for him was truly humbling. He hadn’t met anyone nearly this stubborn, or stone-faced since Levi; she was truly her father’s daughter.  

Yeah I've come to accept some people just refuse to even try to understand Ben as a character. And claiming that Reva has a better backstory and is more developed than him...? At this point we know about as much about Reva’s backstory as we do about Ben’s, granted I wish they’d shown more of Ben’s in the movies rather than books/comics. But their stories are almost the same! That’s all I was pointing out.

Both trained to become Jedi from a young age

Both felt betrayed by someone who was supposed to protect them (Anakin/Luke)

Both were angry and turned to the dark side because of that and spent their lives hunting Jedi

Both have anger issues due to their trauma

Both have masters who abuse them (Vader/Snoke)

Both attempted to kill their master (Reva failed to kill Vader/Ben succeeded in killing Snoke)

Like, they’re so similar! But I guess cause Ben grew up ‘privileged’ with a loving family his feelings aren’t valid?? He was simply a spoilt kid and had no reason to feel the way he did? That really rubs me the wrong way. And also it’s canon he had Palpatine in his head his ENTIRE life. He was battling these demons inside his head but some people refuse to acknowledge that.
