I am curious if you have any analysis posts about Henry similar to your wonderful Capon posts. In particular one thing has always struck me as apparent - In KCD1, Henry befriends Hans rather fast and it takes very little for him to forgive that first impression of Hans as just some noble brat (depending on player style of course). Moreover, Henry in the prologue is pretty much shown in canon to get into trouble often; even if the player doesn't play that style he's already passed out drunk from the night before and his friend group clearly expect him to join in like he usually does. Later on when he meets Hans, he's too disillusioned with the truth of the gritty world they live in to be interested in that sort of stuff - which I think causes his intense dislike to begin with. He's trying to forcibly shut down the tavern as if he's never asked Bianca for a beer after closing. I've seen a lot of posts on here regarding what Henry brings to Hans' life (friendship, freedom, etc). So it would be interesting to hear if you have any thoughts on the inverse. I think one thing that Hans gives Henry back is a sense of fun again - a break from the thoughts of revenge and everything he's lost. But Hans always talks him into something that's a bit useless and just for enjoyment, something pre-attack on Skalitz Henry would've gone along with easier. And IMO the best example we get of this effect is when they're attacked in KCD2. Hans wants to go swimming, ignoring the "we should stay cautious" advice everyone responds with. He's inadvertently teaching Henry how to let loose a bit more and "live a little" and by doing this he potentially saves their lives - I think it's fair to assume they would've died alongside the soldiers they travelled with, if they weren't in the water.

Anyway, all that to say that I definitely agree with you. Henry still acts very juvenile pre-attack, and is then forced to grow up very quickly. As a lot of people with PTSD/trauma do, he latches on to structure/stability in a bit of an over-intense way. And then he projects that onto everyone else, especially Hans.

Regardless of the ending, Nibbles is given to Kerry. At first he hates the cat, but honestly, having a pet is pretty preem and definitely just obscure and weird enough to work with his irreverent, Rockstar persona. Nibbles becomes a sensation overnight and soon floods of Kerry Eurodyne fans are scrambling to find a pet all their own. It lowkey causes an issue because cats were extinct in Night City and the last thing the place needs is MORE living beings. Kerry brings him to every tour and gets him matching collars for his various on stage outfits. They are best friends.

Ok which bi is more chaotic and danger magnet wei wuxian or zha yunlan?
Please keep in mind i’ve only done ONE real run through of the guardian but from what I know of the Untamed and from what i vaguely remember of Guardian, I’m gonna go with WEI WUXIAN. Yeah, Zhao Yunlan attracts his share of danger and all, but Wei “I think I will cause problems on Purpose” Wuxian not only attracts danger, but will also go out and CREATE HIS OWN DANGER in the absence of pre-existing danger.
The thing is that Zhao Yunlan is actually kind of a Responsible Adult in that his whole career (like, a proper actual Grown-up Job) revolves around solving crimes, enforcing a peace treaty (in so much as he can enforce it without violating his code of ethics), and keeping the public safe from would-be end of the world scenarios. This is how he earns a living. And he does it by relying on the skills of his team. He’s a TEAM player. And, like, a good leader to said team. He actually takes the time to think about how his actions will impact the people around him, which is actually Very Mature adult of him.
I love my precious sunshine boy more than i can possibly say, alright? I like weilan, but i’d kick those boys off a cliff in a heartbeat if it meant my precious sunshine boy was safe and happy. Heck, i’d punt Lan Wangji into the sun if it meant my precious sunshine boy would live a bright, carefree life.
But my boy is decidedly NOT a team player, and has never in his life held down an Actual Adult Job. He went from being a feral street kid, to a stuck up first disciple, to a wanted terrorist, to DEAD, to resurrected homeless crazy guy, and ended up as Sugar Baby of the Year. Yes, he’s enormously clever and a prolific inventor of excellent cultivation tools and techniques but he does that for fun basically?? It’s not like he gets commissioned!
Zhao Yunlan might be a chaotic mess when it comes to his personal life (his apartment pre-Shen Wei made my house look like a pristine...operating room? idk, what rooms are considered ridiculously clean and tidy??? do they even exist????) but in terms of his public/professional life he’s got it pretty together! Unless you ask his dad, but that guy’s an Asshole and his opinion doesn’t matter so we’re gonna ignore him. Wei Wuxian is a chaotic mess in EVERY aspect of his life and makes rash decisions like we breathe air (thoughtlessly and only stopping when dead). Mostly bc he doesn’t value his own safety and his sense of self-worth has convinced him that his suffering could never possibly hurt the people around him, but still! And he had to DIE before he even got together with his soulmate? Weilan did their relationship milestones out of order (don’t even get me started on the time traveling mess guardian has) BUT AT LEAST THEY GOT DONE PRIOR TO ANYONE DYING!
In conclusion, Wei Wuxian is definitely the MOST chaotic of the bi’s. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
