My favorite thing about the difference between ancoms and ancaps is that, if you were to make parodied arguments to make a mockery of each ideology, you totally wouldn't know if the latter was serious or not. If you had some dude try to parody ancom with some "the collective gets to vote on who you can marry" bullshit, you wouldn't see actual ancoms take it seriously. But when I made the parody blog @ancaptim, I had a solid handful of actual ancaps follow me. I was even very overt with the "sovereign property-owning individuals have a right to treat their consumer-subjects however they wish" type posts -- and I mean, when you really get down to it, that IS stuff ancaps will argue (albeit with more neoliberal rhetoric), whereas leftists will know that the other side's talking points against socialism are bunk and irrelevant. Of course you could argue that that's a hella petty observation, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Rent is not theft because nothing is free and all people must pay their dues, even if many individuals don't think that rent qualifies as dues because it involves the enrichment of owner individuals at the expense of user individuals and only creates conditions for autocracy to be the dominant organizational mode in the overwhelming majority of individuals' lives. Or some commie jargon or something. Rent is voluntary taxation that definitely doesn't create power imbalances; on the contrary, it gives sovereign lordship individuals the right to run their lives however they want. Live voluntarily long and prosper with bitcoin.
