I promise you, I’m not crazy.

That’s what crazy people say when they don’t want you to think they’re crazy.

That’s how lying works too.

I’m telling you the truth I promise.

I guess, that all changed.

When I met you.

I’m not obsessive.

I’m not controlling.

But I do need to keep an eye on you.

Because I love you.

And you, you want to trust me.

You promised me.

I’m not broken.

And if I was, would you stay to pick up the pieces or run because you don’t want to get your hands bloody?

You’re not the first to run. Or stay.

I’m not broken.

I promise.

So that leaves us with you.

I’m in love with you.

And that’s what matters.

I will protect you.

Even if it means I do things that I know isn’t right.

You don’t need my protection.

But I want to.

I am insecure.

I promise.

You are too.

We all are.

And I don’t care.

I just realized that if the show You was a bit more realistic, I’m not sure how Joe Goldberg could’ve gotten away with some of the things he did in S2.

The storage locker.  In the real world the storage locker would’ve had many security cameras throughout the place, so quite possibly Joe might’ve been questioned about his large plexi-glass cage, or the parts to assemble it.  As well, Joe’s capture of an unconscious Will Bettleheim (Robin Lord Taylor), the hitman who entered but never left, Delilah entering but never leaving, Candace’s murder in the hall outside of Joe’s locker, and more, would’ve been caught on camera.

Henderson’s House and Playroom.  Considering that even Joe had an online ‘nanny cam’ of sorts in his meager apartment,  you’d think that Henderson would’ve have had similar, if not better visual security in his mansion in general, if not his playroom.  General security, like you’d expect in the mansion, and hidden cameras as security for his playroom...so thus Joe should’ve been caught on camera in both areas.
