I can't speak French
Idk why I'm writing this here as if anyone is gonna read it but I need to vent I guess
Actually study French at uni and usually go around thinking I can speak it at least fairly well
Met up with my former French teacher the other day and haven't spoken french to anyone for a while
I was stumbling over words, panicking, not being able to get sentences out like a normal human, sounding absolutely awful, in the end I ended up just speaking English
I have been studying french for 11 damn years and I am still awful
Doesn't help that English is my girlfriend's second language, she's been studying it the same amount of time as I have french, she speaks it pretty much perfectly and she's convinced that my french is the same level as her English
