What a whirlwind. This telethon was just an idea I had to help raise voter turnout. Cut to just a few sleepless weeks later, and we had a dedicated team of people working around the clock on making it a reality. And suddenly I’m hosting a huge event that Charlize Theron is volunteering at. And it seems to have worked! We played a small part I think in what’s being reported as 21 million more people voting in these midterms than 2014. I am unsure of what the next four years will bring. Our hearts may be heavy or excited from the results last night, but America must come together as a nation to heal, strengthen, & show the world we are one. We will survive this inexperienced excuse of a man and the bigotry he carries. Votes show our current State is not United in America. Racism, sexism, and prejudice should be long wiped from our current lives, but it is not. There are definitely parts of our country that need reform. We must change our education systems to teach children how government voting properly works. Don't move out of the country, move to a swing state where influence can be swayed! Make a difference. If you have ever said "your vote doesn't count" then after last night, you were proven wrong based off slim margins. Always vote.
