Me and my shadow! 🎶 Don’t they just perfectly fit? When I showed off The Ties That Bind Us from Breyerfest 2025, I knew I wanted to show off my only other horse in the same mold, called the Silver mold - this is the Halloween horse Skullduggery, from 2001! He was part of my childhood herd, but luckily doesn’t have too many scuffs, since I was a bit older when I got him. What a pair of beauties, and they pose so nicely together! A Summerween moment! 🎃🌻 But I forgot to get a picture of his ghost blaze! 👻

To The Ties That Bind Us is a gold charm exclusive from the Breyerfest 2025 event, and one of the SR horses I was selected for! (If you aren’t aware, before the event you are asked to rank your preferences for the Special Release horses, and Breyer distributes the horses roughly according to everyone’s preferences, as much as they could!) For this year, a lot of the horses I wanted were in-person only (like YOLO, Get This Party Started, the dog!), so I picked the beautiful blue Ties because I really liked the idea of having a Wedgewood horse in my collection. Imagine my surprise when this gold charm beauty came out of the box just in time for my birthday instead! The gold is really stunning in person, and because it’s a 50-50 split run (roughly, with a very small number being silver!), a lot of people prefer the blue. But there’s no way I could trade my beauty away! I really liked the cleverness of the ‘tiny horse silhouettes outlining pinto or appaloosa patterns’ for the 75th anniversary, but it wasn’t until I saw Ties that I really connected with a design. He’s a beaut! And only my second Silver mold horse in my collection - I’ll show my other one tomorrow!

Hats Off To You was one of my desired Special Runs from Breyerfest 2025! I’ve wanted an Old Timer since I was a kid, something just stood out to me about him! He’s a very special fellow - his blaze and nose snip spell out 75, for the 75th anniversary! And he comes with two hats, a regular Old Timer hat and a party hat!

It was fun, but quick run down on the dramas:

- old white lady shows up at 7:15 on Saturday morning and pissed she won’t be allowed to check in early to her Monday reservation. Crashes out of Facebook a dozen times. She later decides to harass people in their rooms for hanging signs (which we were allowed to do) and gets escorted out by police.

- some drama about person A subletting room sales space from person B. This does happen and usually the person with the room gets a cut of sales. There was some issue with a teenager buying a horse from A but got the wrong PayPal address that ended with a shelf coming down in person B’s room? I’ve seen an account from A and the teenagers dad but not from B and there’s definitely more going on here

- flash flooding in the Clarion Wednesday night

- a wedding at the Marriot Griffin Gate Saturday night, making the normal parking nightmare absolutely the Iron Tangle

- occasional thunderstorms, though I did enjoy the lower temps and rain.

- JD Vance’s motorcade shutting down Newtown and Iron Works Pike right at the same time people had to get to the horse park for workshops. I flipped the motorcade off.
