But I’m curious about one thing:
Why are there four children?
Don't get me wrong, I like the art—I’m just wondering why there are four of them.
When I did research for Hercules children with Meg (Because in mythology he and Megara did have kids before… the incident) I found they had three sons, which is where I got their names from.

Anicetus
Alexiares
Hercules also had daughters and I liked the idea of his youngest being a girl🧡
I’ve always seen Disney’s Hercules as a separate thing from actual Greek mythology (too many inaccuracies would drive me crazy otherwise), so I’m continuing that by taking inspo of Greek myth and Disney-fying it.

How fanny is it that a possible meaning for the name of Alexiares, son of Herakles and Hebe, nephew of Ares on both sides, could be "he who wards off Ares"?
I don’t know why, but I felt called to reach out to the immortal twin sons of Heracles recently; not for daily worship or close relationships, but more so just to say hi and get introduced. So I did all of the research I could (there’s not much out there about them) and set the space.
I used two black pillar candles and two Strength tarot cards (one from Rider-Waite, the other from Morgan-Greer) and made my offerings of herbs and incense. Then I did a reading.
I should say, this is all UPG; there is such little information out there that it would be hard to confirm these beliefs.
One things I noticed is that the cards popped out in pairs, which is unusual for me. Usually only one pops out, sometimes three, but every pull was bringing two cards. I figured this was the twin energy.
I asked what their worship was like in Ancient times:
Page of Wands, Death, Nine of Wands, Hermit, Seven of Wands, and Queen of Swords.
I interpreted this to mean they were usually worshiped by younger people, namely men (Page energy), who were patrolling their cities and towns (Nine of Wands - protecting a boundary), often alone (Hermit) and seeking/providing protection. When they came under attack (or close to Death), they reached out to Alexiares and Anicetus for perseverance and protection (Seven of Wands). To me, the Queen of Swords reiterated that they were worshiped by soldiers who needed mental clarity and good judgment.
I then asked what their modern day worship was like (and if they had any; they confirmed they do). ALL REVERSED: Three of Swords, Nine of Swords, Eight of Swords, Nine of Pentacles, Ten of Swords, and Ten of Pentacles.
I interpreted this to mean their modern day worshipers go to them for help in abusive situations or in times of great mental distress. The three, nine, and ten of swords all speak of someone who is in great mental turmoil and the ten of pentacles suggests they may come from an unstable family life and home. The Nine of Pentacles indicates these people may have a hard time with self-esteem and may live in poverty. The Eight of Swords reversed speaks of someone breaking free from what binds them, in this case, with the help of Alexiares and Anicetus. Overall, it appears (and this is UPG) that their followers go to them for protection, breaking free of harmful situations, and setting and upholding strong boundaries. This makes sense to me since they are the gatekeepers of Mount Olympus.

Headcanons for Hebe (and her sons perhaps?) please!
HEBE, goddess of YOUTH
• Hebe is the youngest Olympian (even younger than Dionysus) and I'll die on the hill. She's baby. She's the baby of the family.
• Considerably younger than Heracles, but they age at the same speed. My takeaway is that Heracles ages slowly because of Hera's milk. I mean his nephew from his TWIN is the same age as him. So when he and Hebe meet he's still pretty youthful despite living a considerable amount of years.
• Speaking of Heracles! They met when the Titans attacked Olympus and they needed Herc's help. Despite totally being on team mom-and-ares, she can't help but have a small crush on him 😊 with constant teasing from Ganymede (despite what he thought of Heracles)
• Ganymede is her best friend! Partially because he's the same age and because he's her successor with the cupbearing. With Eros they play chase or hide and seek a lot in the gardens, even as adults.
• Would have totally married Dionysus if Heracles wasn't so damn handsome. even Hera was on board with that (Plus the dork eventually fell in love with Ariadne.)
• Total daddy's girl, being Zeus' second favorite girl (only after Athena). As a kid she loves it when he turns into an eagle, perching on her arm as she smoothens his feathers.
• Loves her mama. Like, a lot. If you say smack about her mama she just goes 😌 and walks away, because mama taught her not to talk to fools.
• Loves Ares too, to an extent where Heracles has to adjust (and vice-versa).
• She loves her chaotic sisters too, even joining their chaotic adventures as long as it doesn't go too bloody.
• Is close with Eileithyia in her childhood. She's her full sister, so she's mad when Eillie doesn't go home for a long time. She gets that the infants of the world needs her, but can't help but feel sad whenever she doesn't show up to another sister date.
• Maintains a good relationship with her other half siblings, loves Hermes' jokes and schemes, had a small crush on Apollo as a kid, admires Artemis' bows and hunters, visits Persephone sometimes. But if she had to pick her closest it would be Athena and Hephaestus. Athena fills the role as Hebe's guide growing up, giving her wisdom while Hephaestus would give her heart to heart talks and cool jewelry.
• Absolutely wanted to give Tithonus youth after seeing the old sack, but dad said no because it's against his rules, So she turned him into a cicada out of pity.
• As an "amazing" assistant when she starts Ares' showers she sometimes adds hair dye as a prank. Ares blames Hermes but we all know who it is 👀
• Overall very understand and lively, loves dancing and saying slangs and living in the moment. She loves deeply, not widely, but she'd love you too if you love her.
• Oh, and she's the goddess of forgiveness!! Not even the amount of Hermes' debts can make her have a grudge.
ANIKETOS & ALEXIARES
• I think they're twins 👬
• They're the gatekeepers of Olympus, along with their dad.
• One of them is chill like Hebe, the other has a huge temper like their dad and uncle.
• One of them probably pulls on Auntie Enyo's hair xD
• They take after Heracles in looks.
• Hera, after seeing them and looking at Heracles: THERE'S THREE OF HIM??!!
• When they were kids they slept all in the same bed, squishing Heracles' chest.
• They're known as the Princes of Olympus. Damn cool titles.

Alexiares ("he who wards off war") and Anicetus ("the unconquerable one") were two Olympian demigods who presided over the defence and fortification of towns and citadels. They were sons of Heracles and Hebe who were born after the hero's ascension to Olympus. The pair were probably the gatekeepers of Olympus. X
