#keeping it real

My family has a cabin by lake St. George. We snuck out there, Me, Zoey and my boyfriend Tom. I got a bad sunburn and so I went to sleep early. I guess Zoey got bored without me. She stayed up drinking, and then she went swimming. We used to try to swim out to the buoys. We were supposed to tap one of them three times. We could never do it. Every June, we'd be determined that this would be the summer that one of us would make it... I knew she was dead. It was like a drowned with her.
