A proper and nutritional diet is the key factor to enhance immunity and it is the key for a healthy body and mind. Besides, some food may be difficult to digestion and may increase inflammation in …
Here I am again...week 2 or 3 is it? Can’t Remember Now...
Hello All!
I am trying to keep up with this both to keep record and my motivation ;). I am on week 2 or 3 now of the ALCAT elimination diet, not really a diet ( I don’t do diets. :)). It has been rough but with my supportive family I am doing pretty well. It helps a lot when those around you are willing to try to eat similar to what you can eat. You know how it is if you are the only one at home having to eat the minimal selection of food it makes it easier for you to just give up!
I just have to remember how good I am feeling when I want to give into something bad. I am not having my usual bloated, crummy feeling, no energy, stomach pains, headaches, ect...
I ate similar foods and added some millet which was a first for me. It needs some flavor but adding roasted veggies really made it a good mixture. I am now looking around on Pinterest, the time suck, to find some more inspiration for foods! The hardest for me is breakfast...any ideas? Eggs would be easy but again I can only have them once every 4 days...
Another fun part right now is battling the TERRIBLE TWO’S...dum dum dum. I swear it is worse with a girl. We have a very impatient, stubborn, bossy lil girl on our hands...boy oh boy!
Okay, that is it for now! :)

Top Of The Mornin
Well it sure has been some time since I have even signed into my account...horrible right?! I wanted to get back at it to share my journey and get some self soothing along the process. There has been lots going around in general but trying to get back into the groove and back to myself. As I had discovered after doing the ALCAT Testing I had sensitivities to several food and many unexpected and some expected. I kind of tried the elimination process but really just said screw it and ate whatever I wanted. Result = horribly upset tummy & always feeling crappy Mommy. So here I go..
If any of you have been through or seen the ALCAT test there are different columns...Red (Severe intolerance and should be avoided at all costs for a min of 6 months), Orange (Moderate intolerance and should be strictly avoided for 3-6 months), Yellow (Mild intolerance and should be avoided for 3 months and added in on a rotation diet) & Green (Acceptable and can be eaten on a rotation basis, no more than every other day). Complicated right?! Well I am on week 1 of the rotation diet. With doing my research most things I have found is do a 4 day rotational diet. So for example if I eat eggs on day 1 I can’t have them again until day 5. Talk about taking some planning and getting creative.
I figured I’d share some of what I have been eating this week so that I remember and keep track and give you a peek into my complex world.
Chicken, Lamb, Salmon, Turkey, Sole
Mustard Greens, White Potato, Broccoli, Tomato, Brussel Sprouts, Carrots
Rice, Wild Rice, Corn
Pistachio, Sunflower Seeds
Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Safflower Oil, Garlic,
Eggs
Along with that challenge I am also working on fixing my stomach muscles because they are still separated from when I had miss Etta!
That’s it for now...

Well, apparently I have quite a few food intolerances. This will change a few things.

I'm thinking of going for an ALCAT TEST since no doctor has been able to determine the cause of my GI issues.
Does anyone have any feedback about it?
