#gluten

there's something so ironic and fucked up about me getting a procedure done to try to figure out what's wrong with me (mainly if gluten messes me up), the doctors see nothing seriously wrong, then give me apple juice and pretzels when i wake up and THEN i start having excruciating pain, likely from the gluten in the pretzels.

Since it's disability pride month, let's have a shout-out to my fellow coeliac disease havers, and those with other medical food intolerances/ autoimmune-related food restrictions.

im working on a little indie show called BEATROOT (its spelt like that on purpose) with a purposefully bad art style. where our main protagonist, Gluten, moves back to her hometown called hometown. she has recently lost her mother in a clown car collision involving 17 clowns and two vehicles. she has to run her mother's, Naomi, farm with the help of Watering Can, a watering can her mother used to own. Gluten encounters the many mishaps and mayhems of hometown and has to maintain the roots at the same time. "roots" is a term that includes all forms of plants. vegetables, fruits, herbs, trees, flowers, whatever! and the way Gluten has to handle these roots is by fighting them. once fought off and killed, these roots can be harvested and sold at the farmer's market. so, if you're interested, feel free to ask questions!

the pilot episode of beatroot is in development! the first half is written and voiced. all we need is to finish writing + voicing for the second half. but then i have to redo all the art for the first half and then do all the art for the second half because i want to have more animation than still frames.
