This was the piece where I fell in love with sculpting. This was the birth of the Petrified Woods Collection, and all the lore behind that. Since making this, rarely a day goes by where I'm not touching clay, and when one does (like the past couple days I've been waiting for my bulk shipment), something feels missing. My journey as a sculptor is so incredibly sacred to me. I've only been doing this since September, but sometimes I feel like my soul's done this forever, like some sort of divine skillset was planted inside me that I never knew existed until a few months ago. In just those few months, I unlocked a whole new world and have a growing body of work to show for it. When I got into flow state, it's like I visit a distant land where all the characters in my head are living out grand adventures and happily ever afters. I return to reality like returning from a special trip with souvenirs and relics to remember my travels by.
