                                  「FULL STEAM AHEAD!」

We’re rolling right along, here at Années Folles! Welcome to Paris, 1926 - a city of lights and love, art and adventure, innovation and intrigue! We like to keep things para-based, character-driven, and full of fun. Does that sound like your glass of giggle-water? Stand by! We’re about to turn the spotlight on some of our most wanted skeletons. 

But first, we’d like to direct your attention to the following updates and adjustments re: our rules. Members, do give this post a like once you’ve read it! 

✺ OPEN SEASON ON OPEN STARTERS While we encourage you to reply to at least one open starter (preferably a starter that’s got fewer than five notes - so nobody gets overwhelmed!) before posting one of your own, this is not mandatory. You may post open starters as you like. 

✺ CHECK, PLEASE! Activity checks will be every two weeks, with an informal notice issued on Friday, followed by a formal tag on the main on Monday. If we don't hear from you, or see your activity pick up on the checked character by the following Friday, your role will be reopened. You'll always be welcome to apply again, but we can't guarantee your original skeleton of choice will be available! 

✺ THREE’S A CROWD Members may apply for up to three skeletons. Third skeletons may be applied for after two weeks of consistent activity on pre-established characters. When applying for third skeletons, remember that you may only play one character with each affiliation - our Artists, Performers, Public, Rogues, and Society. Variety is the spice of life, after all!

Bonjour lovely Parisians! Admin Gray and I are absolutely thrilled with all the plotting and replying happening right now, and we hope you’re enjoying our opening weekend!

To help everyone concoct the most thrilling and dramatic connections they can dream up, we just wanted to encourage you to make a wanted plots/connections page! Please include your characters’ Frequent Haunts from your app on the page.

From there, you’re welcome to post the plots and connections from your app, dream up other options, or come up with a combination!

For a reference if you need it, my page can be found here! No need to stick exactly to this, it’s just for inspiration !

Please post your wanted plots page in your character’s Discord plotting channel, for everyone’s easy access!

Welcome to the shindig of the twentieth century, over here in Paris, 1926! Looking back on our opening weeks, we couldn’t be happier - the party’s in full swing, at Années Folles! What a crowd of delightful, talented, exciting writers we’ve collected. They’re just the bee’s knees, the berries, the cat’s meow! Thank you all for joining us; we’re going to have a grand ol’ time. 

We’re pleased to announce that given our ever-growing cast, we’ve got a few new skeletons in the works! Here’s a little appetizer, to tide you over.

Delicious! The main course won’t be long. Of course, we’d also love to see the rest of our masterlist filled out! We’re about to start counting the ballots for our new skeleton selections - be sure to get yours in by end of business this Sunday! For more on all that jazz, see our shortlist. Before we turn the page, though, we’d like to advertise some upcoming developments! Buy Fry’s Chocolate, be sure to pick up your Arrow collars, and read on. 

✺ ALL THE WORLD’S A STAGE And all our skeletons, merely waiting for players! We have a new batch on the way, and we’d like you - yes, you! - to toss your two cents in. What types and tropes would you like to play with? Members and spectators alike are welcome to contribute!

✺ TAP IN, TAP OUT We’re excited to introduce a new opportunity for your museful marvelousness - temporary characters. These will only be available to current members with ongoing characters in play. The aim of a temporary character will be twofold; to let a member experiment and enjoy themselves, of course, and to play key roles in larger plots within the group. We’ll be drawing up the details on these and taking inquiries in the meantime. For now, here are some questions and answers we’ve come up with while planning.

✤ Will temporary characters play by the same rules as ongoing characters? Yes! They’ll still be subject to activity checks, and must be a different affiliation from your other muses. Currently, our total character limit per member is three; this also applies. 

✤ If I fall head over heels for my temporary character, can I keep them forever? Yes! It happens. Love, true love...
