I have another ablation of the nerves in my lower back scheduled for this afternoon. (They stick needles into the nerves and zap them which kills them off.)
This is my second time for this particular spot as unfortunately, our damn nerves grow back.
I’ve had enough of these procedures now that I am mentally prepared. But I have to stop eating eight hours before my arrival time. And no liquids starting four hours beforehand.
So I set an alarm for 6 am and got up to eat breakfast and drink my tea. I will be hungry enough this afternoon, no way I’m skipping my breakfast too.
I’m really hoping this fixes the worst pain in my back, albeit temporarily. My sciatic nerve has definitely grown back and the doctor’s office said it sounds like they will need to zap that one next.
Then maybe I’m done for a few years? Wouldn’t that be nice?
