Gaga’s stylist Marta Del Rio pulled racks and racks from Lidow Archive, an archive filled to the brim with vintage and modern pieces founded and curated by Haile Lidow!

The first look is this Alberta Ferretti Fall/Winter 2017 pleated yellow chiffon gown with butterfly sleeves...

...which she paired with vintage 1950s Frame France sunnies crafted from mother of pearl and featuring shimmering rhinestones all over.

She also sported her favorite Edward Avedis Clara eternity style, shared prong diamond band with 2mm diamonds hand set in 18kt rose-gold ($1,800).

The second look includes the piece of a designer whose pieces I always wanted to see on our girl - Indonesian-born Harry Halim!

From his Spring/Summer 2020 collection, this nude organza jacket features exploding, ruffled sleeves and trim on the bottom.

Harry Halim is a Paris-based designer who graduated from Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore. In 2006, he launched his first womenswear collection in Singapore where he formerly based.

Just like the jacket, Lidow Archive also provided the beautiful vintage unsigned floating pearl necklace (Gaga styled into a necklace) which once belonged to Haile’s grandmother, and the pearls and ostrich feathers-embellished halo she waved around playfully.

The Love hand-carved heart-shaped rose quartz dangle earrings ($95) are signed by House of Wasee, another new name in our girl’s closet!

On her lap, we can spot these a-morir opera binoculars ($475) embellished in flatback pearls, silk, and aurum plated crystals, and champagne and topaz metal set gems plated in rhodium.

The Italian-American beauty also presented her two custom ‘Love for Sale’ leather handbags. The first one is this buckled beauty by Delvaux she carried just last month...

...and her Mark Cross Grace small leather box bag in black ($2,290).

Finally, she wears the Christian Louboutin Marlenarock black patent leather criss-cross strap pointed-toe pumps.

Of course, Miho Okawara did her beautiful ‘Love for Sale’ artwork-inspired nails!

The show-stopping spike-embellished strong shoulder belted iridescent stretch bodysuit with keyhole detail, detachable water splash skirt with asymmetrical hem and matching gauntlets is a custom Garo Sparo creation.

Garo Sparo, whos founder Gary Spampinato once was a contestant on Bravo TV’s ‘Project Runway’, made one more creation for the ‘Rain On Me’ video!

Her pink lucite crystal, pearl and gem-encrusted cat-eye sunglasses are custom a-morir. They might remind you of another pair she wore nine years ago!

If you’ve been following La Maison Gaga for the past few months, you should be able to recognize this tee immediately.

Gaga rocked her vintage The Cramps ‘Bad Music for Bad People’ tee, which features a crew neck and graphic print.

Her new Dee Dee crystal-embellished cat-eye sunglasses are signed by a-morir, named after Dee Dee Ramone!

Gaga’s pink version is expected to drop next week but you can already shop the black version for $260.

We’re back to mismatched jewelry!

On her right ear Gaga rocks the small ball chain single drop earring by Los Angeles-based jewelry brand Ai Studios ($125).

The Alexis Bittar liquid clear lucite earring with cool rhodium tones and accented with organic waves of crystal graces her other ear.

Before we get to her eyewear, let’s talk about the look everything the head first.

Gaga’s white latex overcoat with silver hardware was custom-made for her by young designer Jaiden rVa James.

We can also spot Gaga’s assistant carrying her studded Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2009 Easy Rock top handle bag for her.

I remember waking up and running to my PC to check on all the photos and videos. And I sat there for quite a while. And smiled. And laughed. And cried.

Gaga walked the white carpet dressed in custom made Alexander McQueen gown. And I love everything about the look. From head to toe. From her flawless make-up and the hairdo.

The dress is simply divine. What an exquisite cocktail of warm autumn colours.

For me personally, this bespoke piece is an amazing extension of Alexander McQueen‘s Fall/Winter 2010 “Angels and Demons” collection inspired by “Byzantine art, the carvings of Grinling Gibbons, and Old Master paintings and altar pieces including, in particular, works by Jean Fouquet, Sandro Botticelli, Stephan Lochner, Hans Memling, Hugo van der Goes, Jean Hey and Heironymus Bosch”.

For those who’ve been wondering, her huge black and bottle green net bustle skirt created to add a little extra red carpet drama to the already amazing dress, was crafted by Alex Noble.

Alex had the dress in his studio while transforming 20 metres of net in Gaga’s VMA bustle: “The dress is absolutely stunning. I was in complete awe”.

The gold feathered mohawk headpiece is a custom Perry Meek piece.

Her Native American chief sterling silver ring with green rhinestone eyes is an unsigned vintage piece

Gaga completed the look with a pair of Alexander McQueen’s Armadillo snakeskin ankle boots from his Spring/Summer 2010 “Plato’s Atlantis” collection.

Another dress, another one-of-a-kind fierceness. 

Screaming and beyond happy Gaga accepted her “Best Pop Video Award” dressed in the custom-made black leather bustier and voluminous structured long skirt gown and her second mohawk of the night created for this special occasion by Armani Privé.

What went unnoticed by many, is that Gaga actually wore her custom Night Maker heelless black leather ankle boots by Noritaka Tatehana underneath.

One of the only dresses in the world that were added to the dictionary.

What you most probably haven’t read anywhere (I think so because many of you keep asking me whether I know it…) is something more about the process of this quite heavy, a bit cold but surprisingly comfortable outfit creation. The Matambre dress, which was designed by Franc Fernandez, was “constructed over a corset (by Kiki de Montparnasse), hand applied and clear-stitched over a two day period while in constant refrigeration”.

Gaga explained the meaning of the dress on Ellen: “Well, it is certainly no disrespect to anyone that is vegan or vegetarian. As you know, I am the most judgement-free human being on the earth. However, it has many interpretations. For me this evening, if we don’t stand up for what we believe in and if we don’t fight for our rights pretty soon, we’re going to have as much rights as the meat on own bones. And, I am not a piece of meat.”

It came with it’s own headpiece, matching clutch and wedge ankle boots.

Both her large statement-setting choker...

...and matching bracelet, made of silver-colored galvanized brass, with claw-set mini and maxi Swarovski crystals, are Pre-Fall 2010 Giuseppe Zanotti.

Her other bracelet is an unsigned vintage piece from New York Vintage!

She also rocked a custom Rodrigo Otazu brooch which adorned her meat clutch,...

...and crystal ring by The Dragon Lady. Her other flower-shaped ring is by a-morir.

As a base for her meat shoes, Gaga used the Pleaser Delight-1020 patent white platform ankle boots. Also worn in her ‘Applause’ video three years later.

For the start-studded after party Gaga went back to half of her arrival ensemble and added a hat which should look familiar to you. She kept on the Alexander McQueen Fall/Winter 2010 “Angels and Demons” high collared bejeweled necklace and custom Alex Noble organza underskirt.

It’s a custom Philip Treacy feather “Gaga” headpiece inspired by the hat Philip created for his 2001 couture collection.

For the rehearsals with her dancers and crew, our girl wore a black bra, black tights and her bespoke Atsuko Kudo leopard-printed latex blazer.

These wonders are vintage Italy-made Vogart by Police 2141 sunglasses with tortoiseshell frame, gold-tone nose bridge and green tinted sunglasses.

Gaga revealed that the golden plate necklace is her aunt Joanne’s birth certificate! So definitely a family heirloom.

She completed her look with Penthouse Savannah lace-up corset vinyl boots.

The performance started with Gaga flying over the crowd towards the stage. Her outfit was designed and created by Perry Meek.

It comprised a leather and chiffon paneled cloak with conical, long shoulders, a white puffy bolero jacket with pleated sleeves and red lining, a red mesh catsuit with black velvet animal appliqués and matching oriental chiffon headwrap.

The stunning silver crystal cross choker plus her bracelets are all unsigned costume jewelry pieces Nicola found for our girl.

Tom Tom Fashions is behind customizing her Pleaser black vinyl ankle boots with hundreds of gold-tone studs with a cross ornament, our girl wears throughout the show.

Quick costume change! Do you remember Gaga’s Armani Privé VMA night leather look? Of course you do! But what most probably not all of you know is there were two looks Mr. Armani designed for Gaga.

The other one was “black vinyl pantsuit featuring a jacket with spike details, a vest outlined with zippers, and a shirt with a large bow and wide balloon sleeves”. The spike jacket belongs to the above custom-made suit.

Her delicate black lace veil is a stunning Oscar de la Renta piece. The same bow pattern was used on several pieces on his Spring/Summer 2010 runway.

The lace extravaganza continues with her Zumanity mask, exclusively made for Cirque du Soleil by artisan Judith Rauchfuss, who was inspired by Thierry Mugler’s designs for the show.

Haus of Gaga’s in-house costume designer Perry Meek collaborated with Tom Tom Fashions to customize Gaga’s black Mugler Fall/Winter 2011 “Anatomy of Change” sheer mesh cheetah appliqué catsuit with hundreds of crystals and golden coins.

Her cool black fringed denim jacket, embellished with gold-tone studs and gems in various colors, is a vintage 1980s Cross Walk L.A. piece with the sleeves cut off.

Her Marlies Dekkers harness bra was customized by L.A. Roxx with gold studs, embellishments and draped chains and charms.

Now about her two golden items.

The lady behind Gaga’s pyramid studded metallic gold leather biker jacket is Kerin Rose Gold who, as you know, has her own label a-morir. The jacket, with its leopard silk lining, was originally designed by JerMajesty and L.A. Roxx, which Kerin further customizer with studs and dainty gold chains hanging off the shoulders.

Next, the horns. These babies were custom crafted for Gaga by NYC-based costume designer Sam Bennett.

Sam made them from a viking helmet that he bought at a costume store, took apart and affixed the horns to a headband. Elongated them and added to the shape of the horns with boning that he curved up and out.

The whole armature is wrapped in a very thin cotton rope to smooth out the shape. Painted gold, studded and embellished with chains in several gold tones.

Gaga’s epic black stiletto nails with pyramid-shaped studs and red gemstones are Aya Fukuda’s work.

Finally, the dancer outfits. Both the Stardom and Restrain harnesses were custom-made by Assaad Awad and were used for several performances throughout the era.
