Thordak/Raishan fight, thoughts of Jarett
Oh no I just thought about later on in the campaign, they dragged poor Jarett with them to fight Thordak! Are we going to get animation of Jarett getting melted lmfao?! My baby Is a SUBSTANTIAL number of levels below everyone else there. That poor brave man. He's just a castle guard! The BEST castle guard! But still. uugh. (I'm kind of assuming they'll transition him from an Emon guard to a Whitestone Guard like he eventually was in the campaign, so we see more of him).
Idk if I can bear to watch him get crispified in full animated glory. Yes I know Pike and or Scanlan will heal him up, mostly, but still, the dragon gore animation in season 2 was monstrous and I can only imagine how creative they've gotten for season 3. That voice actor better work on his "I've been repeatedly set on fire by an ancient red dragon" screams.
They also brought Gilmore, but at least he's a powerful sorcerer who held his own against Thordak by himself for a few seconds in the initial attack on Emon, they knew how badass he was, that's why they brought him. Poor Jarret was out there with a fucking crossbow. My man stood no chance.
Sure, they're ALL going to be pummeled and burnt to shit in that fight, and I'm looking forward to it, but Jarret in particular, ouch.
They better give him that raise! He EARNED it!
(I'm kind of assuming/hoping they'll transition him from an Emon Guard to a Whitestone Guard like he eventually was in the campaign, so we see more of him. I get that they had 0 time to develop the relationships in animation but hopefully we get a bit of it as the show goes on and they don't just skip it. It seems like they aren't based on how they managed to fit him into s1/s2 so I'm cautiously optimistic).
