Tommy walks into a restaurant to meet his date and sees Buck presumably on a date with a woman. He tries to sneak past him but Buck sees him and, because they’re magnetic, Buck’s eyes met his. And since he was walking past his table, which is across ten feet from him, he had to say something.

Buck introduces Tommy as his ex and instead of the tired homophobic response of “you’re gay” we get her being way too into them being exes.
