when I start to get Byler doubt, but then I remember that Shawn Levy (co-)directed episodes 6 and 7, that Finn described episode 7 as enlightening and that Caleb described it as connective
peak byler culture is scrolling through tumblr seeing a post about a new gate and just accepting it yes this is canon now
i’ve made a decision!
regardless of if byler is canon in the last episode or not, i’m going to do a write of all of our byler gates/ maybe the last episode (depending on what happens) in script form and post it to ao3.
i won’t start this until after the finale, but i’ve gotten really passionate about it, and i hope it could help some people feel a bit better (especially if byler turns out to not be canon.)
i do plan to include some actual scenes from the show with other characters, including the jancy scene, and maybe adding on like changing the elmax reunion, so this would be a big project and i don’t want to do it if nobody is interested. so please tell me if you are!
this community is awesome, i love all of you. i will keep byler alive no matter what happens, i love them so so much.
**note! i took drama in high school, and i know how to write scripts & stage notes really well. i love fanfic, but i also like the idea of being able to convey these stories through scripts as this is a tv show!**
