(601): Dude, half of south Mississippi has seen my taint. I’m not worried.
Do you know this SFX? #601

THE GROWTH 🥺❤️
Does the numbering system have nonfiction numbers for forms of technology that exist a lot within science fiction, and scientists think COULD exist at some point, but do not currently exist? Or do those technologies only gain nonfiction numbers when they are made real?
The only example I can currently think of is "hard light" constructs. There are currently experiments to make them, because apparently they think it could be real, but to my knowledge those experiments have not yet fully succeeded.
But I need to clarify that I am not looking for the Dewey Decimal Number of hard light constructs, I am more interested in how forward-thinking the modern committee in charge of deciding what the numbers are, is.
I did some digging, and there actually is a dewey decimal number dedicated to emerging/hypothetical future technology, 601.12
