i think we as a fandom should establish what i am naming The 2-3 Rule, which is as follows:
If you are going to write up literary critique on Turnabout Big Top, you must do so without mentioning or alluding to the love triangle sub plot.
You must only critique the parts of it you dislike or find bad that do not involve or mention the love triangle.
If you find you cannot do that, then you legally should shut the fuck up and simply not post.
It's been critiqued.
It's been critiqued into oblivion.
We are all in agreement that it is uncomfortable, narratively void, and altogether kind of frustrating and pointless padding.
No one disagrees with this.
Therefore there is no discourse to be had on the matter.
All discourse that needs to be had, has already been had.
The game came out 23 slutty, slutty years ago!
23 years of discussing the love triangle.
No more needs to be said.
We could all save a lot of pointless time-wasting if we establish and freely evoke the 2-3 Clause.
TL;DR, get a different critique. Perhaps one that was not given to you by a youtuber / twitter user.
