Merengue propaganda:
i love the strawberry shortcake / parfait thing - the white topping as whipped cream, the horn as a strawberry (and itβs upturned so it literally looks like itβs perched there), her hooves are like little dollop feet, and the tail puff being peachy-strawberry is such a tiny detail that makes it feel cohesive instead of random. and the chef outfit on top of that

Lemuen propaganda:
Lemuen is an ambulatory wheelchair user who was an npc for a good few years before becoming playable just this year. Her wheelchair was redesigned in this process to be based on a sports wheelchair, and the 3d PV really showcases how much care was put into making her disability a primary focus of how cool she is. I can't really think of many video games having playable characters in wheelchairs who are treated with as much care and dignity in their design and writing as their able bodied peers. She's also incredibly pretty and her artist (IRIS_ε£θΊ) was insane for making those boots.

Effective at being bug-like but clearly distinct and more ghostlike than other bugs in the game. Also really cute

Round 7, Match 5 β Distorted Hohenheim (Limbus Company) vs. GLaDOS (Portal)
Distorted Hohenhiem propaganda:
i really like his design because it is supposed to be a visual representation of someone consumed wholly by their survivor's guilt. a distortion is basically a person's inner desires, trauma, and overall their inner Conflict or how they view themselves, manifested outwards. hohenheim's distortion reflects the character's struggle with being defined by everyone who died to get them where they are, how their deaths carry their entire being and perception of themself, where they are now, and how much those deaths take up in their head no matter how hard they try to deny it and close up about it, conveyed with the crossed arms restraining their own body, how little their arms budge until they are defeated, and also the fact that they are quite literally only made up of the clawing arms. this is most easily reflected in this battle sprite they wear a stained and weathered lab coat, being the head researcher at both jobs they worked at, most notably the job they had during the catastrophic site burial event that lead to all the deaths of everyone they loved. their dress(?) is soaked in blood, still running, almost thick and viscous with the sheer volume of it, perhaps from being mixed with powdery rubble and debris. the hands are gangly and clawed, all defining features and traits redacted out to be nothing but red dark outlines, the implication of a death rather than having to face the actual corpse. their head is shaped like a magnifying glass, their only defining facial feature being an eye, because ever since losing everyone they now only observe from afar, distancing themselves from their emotions and everyone around them in an attempt to avoid feeling so strongly for anyone ever again. in their fight, their eye is literally at the top of the room moving around and observing the fight, while you fight them. it is cool as fuck. this person is a husk, nothing but the deaths of other holding up a single eye meant only to observe and nothing more after losing everyone who made them who they are today. i'm very normal over this design and anyone who's interested in it can flock over to me (@firebuug) for additional info or whatever. i love you distorted hohenheim you will forever be the winner of my heart even if i did vote against you like once or twice throughout this tournament.
