Just wanted to let you guys know that there are two pages on this app that like to troll and make very degrading stories about black readers! @/suckmuballs and @/whotookmynameareuserious these are two little white girls pretending to be black, who are MINORS.

For starters, im a black girl myself in case you guys didn’t know that. I find this very disrespectful and this is not my first time encountering something like this on an app built around community. Protect yourself before asking for help.

And no matter what they say, staying quiet isn’t the same as doing nothing. Sometimes it’s the smartest move you can make while you figure out what’s safe.

The system definitely isn’t built to protect you in many cases, but there are ways to protect yourself.

So there is this person, @evrenn-ash.

She DM'd me saying that she liked my profile picture, then gradually shifted the conversation to how much she loves drawing. Eventually, it became obvious that she was trying to get me to commission her.

I asked her for examples of her artwork, so she sent me a few line art pieces. Then, as you can see in the second picture, I checked her blog and found that many of the artworks she posted were copied from DeviantArt and Google.

When I confronted her about it, she claimed that other people had copied her. But you can check for yourself the same artwork has been on Google and DeviantArt for years, while her Tumblr posts were uploaded much more recently.

Then I searched her Tumblr username and... WOW. I found multiple people saying that she had also tried to scam them using stolen artwork.

In the last screenshots, you can clearly see her cussing me out. At one point she even called me a bot and started chatting as if I was the scammer, trying to manipulate the conversation so she could later make a post claiming that she was the victim.

People like her make it much harder for legitimate artists to find real clients because they make people worry that every other artist might be a scammer too. 😡
