People dunk on danse for a lot of perfectly valid reasons, but saying "ad victoriam" after sex should NOT be one of them. Do you hear the tone of voice that man says that in? Smug little asshole. I KNOW he just gave Sole a legs shaking, vision whiting out, moaning-like-youre-being-paid-for-it orgasm. That man is patting himself on the back for a job well done while his partner lies in post orgasmic bliss, unable to form a thought for at least the next twelve hours. He can say ad victoriam if he wants to. He deserves it.

Also I just can't stand by and listen to people say Danse has no sense of humor when he has objectively the funniest line in the game.

I think part of what makes Morrowind so special is how dedicated the game is to not making you feel like the big shot hero right out the gate. You're not the chosen one yet, you're a no name nobody criminal who's being used as a pawn in a political play, and you were sent to take orders from a shirtless skooma-addled weirdo. No emperor looking you in the face and telling you you'll save Tamriel, no magic dragon powers, in fact no powers at all. If you try to kill a mudcrab outside town you find out you're weak as a flea and need to be careful not to get killed being stupid. You're nobody's hero, just a sucker on short orders. Nobody offers you undue deference. Lots of people outright hate you. It feels a lot more like an adventure on uneven odds, a genuinely difficult quest for a thankless hero. Only once you've saved the day for real, been thanked by a god for it, do the people of Vvardenfell acknowledge you for what you are.
