My experience watching Twin Peaks season 2 episode 7.

Hi. It’s me. Emotional and back on my bullshit.

I never thought at 16, sitting in my room for a week straight watching every adaptation, reading every piece of content I could find, and saving every piece of fan art, that I would find myself standing in the Palais Garnier.

It’s easy to fall in love with fiction. It’s not so far-fetched that one can build a relationship with a book, especially when one can relate to the imagination of Christine, the bravery of Raoul, the loyalty of the Daroga, and the loneliness of Erik.

I love that book. I love Erik. And I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed that the Opera Ghost wasn’t there to greet me. But I’m so incredibly grateful that I got to see, first hand, the place that’s haunted my dreams for nearly 10 years.
