sidestep era Cynthia was a little sweetie. she dresses whimsically, paints her nails and layers skirts on until they're fluffy enough to stand on their own, she layers leather jackets and pastel colored outfits, because she never knew how to dress herself. all she wants is to figure herself out. she spent most of her farm life as an information gathering tool, and once she escaped her curious nature really takes center stage. she loves nature, and being near it, she loves architecture (even in LD, the messy melting pot of ruins and buildings), she loves eating new foods, and experiencing new things (as long as they aren't scary)
she loves watching new release movies, because she can't be spoiled through thoughts around her, and she can't read the intention behind the characters with her telepathy. it makes the media way more interesting to her, when she doesn't know what's going to happen
she's got a huge liking for romance, she enjoys reading romantic novels and such, probably gets through them at an unhealthy rate, and she also finds herself really interested in history.
she's not surprised when she finds out about her crush on Julia, after all, Ortega makes an effort to include her despite her shyness. she's happy to be near her and be part of her life, even if they can never be together romantically
on her second escape, however, she had learned lots of new lessons. such as the fact that she can't be nearly as open as she used to be. learns to blend in, and to look like someone that shouldn't be bothered. and she learns the taste of revenge, when she's got blood on her hands for the first time
her relationship with Julia is often just "complicated", because Cynthia always lets her crush be known by the end of rebirth (the subtle girl of the century). at the beach scene she refuses to let Julia see her internal conflict, and there's no improvement.
she kills important people, people that could hurt her goals, and she doesn't feel bad about it. not until she crashes her entire dumb self in that car. i love her.
