Dottie Lorraine-Brown is a 23 year old bartender and small business model. She grew up in Louisiana, then moved to Michigan for college. She studied fashion and graduated last year.

She is 5’7. Black, brown skinned. Her natural hair is thick and curly but she often gets sew ins, styling them in updos. She has an athletic build. She has a deep scar on her calf from a car accident that happened in her freshman year of college. She has no tattoos, and only her ears are pierced.

She grew up in a very large household. There were up to 12 people in her house at a time. She was raised by her mother and grandmother. The only male who was ever in the house was her little brother who was 8 years younger than her. She has four other siblings, two older sisters and two younger ones. Her two aunts also lived in the house along with her two cousins. Like I said, big household. They all have a very tight nit relationship, she believes family is everything.

Her father passed before she was born, but she always keeps a picture of him with her. She is very spiritual, and she believes he is always watching after her in the afterlife.

Her aesthetic is somewhere in between earthy black girl and hoochie mama, a mix of her mother and her aunt’s influence.

Growing up she was also always on the swim team, she was going to swim in college too but after the accident she didn’t really want to.

In her spare time now she loves to make jewelry and go out. She loves being out of the house, whether thats going to the club or just for a walk.

Dottie is a Lesbian, no she doesn’t have a girlfriend yet, but she also isn’t really seeking someone out. She believes the right person will come at the right time.

Like Nick, she also does activism. Thats actually how they met and became friends.

Nick is a 26 year old Haitian-American from Michigan. His mother was born and raised in Haiti, immigrating to the US in her late 20s, and his Father is a Michigan native.

He was born on April 10th, in the afternoon, making him an Aries.

He is black, dark-skinned. Brown eyes, and dark brown hair that are kept in lower back length locs. He is 5’9 and built. Thick with muscle and a healthy amount of fat. He has tattoos on his neck, right arm, upper chest, and upper back. He has no notable scarring.

Growing up, both his parents were present and raised him well, teaching him things he would carry with him for the rest of his life.

Unfortunately they had both past away of natural causes, his mother when he was 23 and his father a year later. It affected him heavily, for a couple months after losing them both he didnt know what to do with himself. He felt like he had no one to lean on now, not having any siblings or other family members he was particularly close to.

Though, it was because of his parents that he was able to recover mentally and emotionally from their deaths. Using the things they instilled in him to move forward healthily.

As you can tell, he is a very emotionally mature person, he is also fairly intelligent. He has a 3.5 GPA and averaged As and Bs throughout his schooling. He is very independent and adaptable, but not at all adventurous. He is level headed, and very critical. You can also expect him to be blunt. He doesn’t lie or do secrets whatsoever. He believes in the truth or nothing.

He owns his own record shop and is a Radio Host. He also does political activism in his free time. He is also a Drummer, a decent cook, and he enjoys gardening.

He owns a fourth story Condo deep in the city that he shares with his girlfriend. It’s a one bathroom, two bedroom flat with an open floor plan kitchen and living room. He bought it because of the view of the city and the large windows. It was for a pretty good price too.

Like said before, he does have a girlfriend. Though they are in an open relationship. He is straight but in recent times, his interests have… shifted just a tad. He is a switch, but with his girlfriend he strictly tops.

Not too long ago in history, four men from different parts of Europe wound up sailing on the same boat.

In a literal sense.

They were all going to the same place. America. To start a new life, each for their own selfish reason.

The boat was luxurious, it had sleeping quarters, platters of food, betting games, and all the beer a man could beg for. It wasn’t a surprise that the four found each other and bonded quickly. Especially after they had learned they were all headed to the same place.

They stuck with each other after the ship had docked. Supported each other in their new environment. It was the safest option considering they were all immigrants, starting anew in a foreign country that they had no clue how to navigate.

Though they adjusted well. Learning the culture and habits of the community around them. It didn’t take long for them to charm their way into jobs either. They combined the money they had brought over and bought a nice spacious cabin near a bayou, a few miles away from town.

They got comfortable quickly, learning well… intimate details about each other over time. The tallest one, Simon, was the most straightforward out of the lot of them. Helped finalize a lot of the decisions in their journey. Well with John, who was the most mature. Together they picked out the cabin, and the other two, Kyle and Johnny, decorated the whole thing. It was a perfect compromise.

They were perfect, the cabin was perfect, things couldn’t have been better. They lived like that for two years straight without a problem

That all came crashing down when knock came down upon their door one blistering hot summer evening.

It was a woman. The wind chimes that hung from the porch sang as John eyed her from the door. She was wearing a long white dress with sheer sleeves, and in front of her, she was carrying luggage that had an odd shape to it; almost like a casket. Her hair blew in the wind as they stared at each other.

“Evening ms… can I help you?” He asked carefully, his brows scrunched, awaiting an answer. He glanced behind you, seeing no car or tread marks. No one else was near either. Had you walked there? Alone? That was dangerous here. A woman alone down by the bayou and forest? Bad bad bad. Maybe she was looking for a ride somewhere or some help.

She looked up at him with her big, unblinking eyes before parting her lips to speak.
